A short video presentation of the classwork of the students of the course Mechatronics Laboratory at LabMACS - UNIVPM (Ancona) under the supervision of Prof. G. Conte and D. Scaradozzi.
Several teams (project management, supervision software development, navigation, vision) worked together to make an unmanned aerial vehicle and a mobile robot collaborate to monitor a specific area. The mobil robot serves as a mobile landing platform for the quadrotor.
All the software was developed using NI LabVIEW and some specific toolkits, like the LabVIEW Add-on for LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT and our 3Dmicro Toolkit for programming the PIC32 on the mobile robot.
